On the way home, I thought I would take a look at "Scotty's Castle" at the North end of Death Valley.

27 miles off the main highway, still in the mountains that ring Death Valley, elevation here 3000 feet.

The reason it is here, is because there is a natural spring and creek flowing by. The trees are all brought in from elsewhere.

Somt interesting geologic formations in these mountains.

Joshua trees.

The Northern Saloon and cafe in Goldfield, where I stopped for lunch. The most beautiful bar back in all Nevada.
The owner said it is hand carved in 1886 in Italy, He bought it there, had it shipped here.
