Before cleaning the carpet, I lay a chair on it's side or back instead of moving it, especially the ones with a platform, which are harder to move than chairs on legs.
I prefer to tilt recliners with platforms onto their sides rather than onto the front.

After cleaning under the chair, I place the blocks- without lifting the chair to place the blocks.

Tilt the chair back onto it's base, nothing else to do, it is finished.

The same applies for tabbing furniture. After cleaning, put the tabs in place, (only the gold one shows here, the rest are clear, and do not show well in this picture, but they are there.)

Shows tilted chair.

Tilt the chair back onto it's legs, and it is already tabbed. No lifting.
