The carpet on this job was going to be shampooed with Releasit Encapsulating Detergent, so I tried using it on furniture to see whether the process would work or not. The furniture material was olefin. Broadcloth on the chair, velvet on the 3 piece sectional sofa. It did just fine. This was the first time I had tried it. If the system did not work, I would have cleaned them in another way.

Fifth or sixth job of cleaning furniture with Releasit Encapsulating Detergent. About to clean a polished cotton sofa. Sofa is tilted onto it's front in order to easily clean the loose back cushions using the outside back as a table.
I am using Releasit Encapsulating Detergent as a cleaning product in the quart trigger spray bottle. I spray it on the cushions, and spray the brush to fill it with detergent, then agitate with the horsehair brush (White object by spray bottle is the back of the brush) and then wipe off the loosened soils with a folded towel. I felt the material was too delicate to use the Fiber Plus Pads.
