Image 01One end of this hallway is done with the usual 3 to 5 foot long strokes with the wand.
Then where possible, instead of using my arms to do the strokes, I hold the wand steady, turned solution on, and walk some 10 feet or so, repeat side to side, then with the solution off, do the same long strokes extracting.
Much easier on the back when possible to do this, especially on lightly soiled carpets.
Right half done, left half not done.

Entire width of hallway now done.
Further extraction, and normal wand marks left.

Opposite end of hallway, showing entrance to side room.

To remove as much soil as possible, in most cases, I follow up the HWE with my Chemstractor roto and some DirtGetter bonnets.
This also dries the carpet some amount at the same time.

Partway through using the DirtGetter bonnets, I check for the amount of soils picked up by them.

Other side of the same DirtGetter bonnet.

The 19 inch diameter of the DirtGetter bonnets allow to get up next to the walls and in most corners.

Showing both sides of the DirtGetter bonnet, and how much soil it has picked up.
