Wand Skis. By slightly raising the wand's vacuum lips, using the Coanda Effect of increased air flow of ambient air in the vicinity of the vacuum lips through the carpet fibers also draws a higher percentage of the water/solution applied to the carpet to be extracted, leaving the carpet drier than would be possible without the Wand Skis. The slick material of the Wand Skis makes it easier to stroke the wand in both directions. The Wand Ski material takes the weight of the wand, plus it's pulling down effect of the vacuum onto the carpet, and by slightly breaking the vacuum seal on the carpet and allowing more air flow requires less stroking force on the handle of the wand. A simple test of whether more water/solution is removed or not is to do this. Without Wand Skis on the wand, following a routine cleaning extraction effort, when you feel you have extracted all the water/solution possible, put a set of Wand Skis on your wand, and you can hear more water being sucked into the wand, and if you have a clear tube, or clear filter, you will be able to see more water/solution being removed.
